It doesn’t take much snow and ice to cause problems in the south. Not only are they not use to driving in it but they also don’t have the equipment to handle it.
The frigid air is diving all the way to the Gulf while at the same time an area of low pressure is coming out of the Gulf and will spread a swath of moisture into the cold air.
Some places could see over a half a foot of snow but even worse coastal Carolina and Georgia could be gearing up for a major ice storm. This same storm will brush The Cape and Islands with 3-6″ of snow. For us, it’s a miss! Dan B.
