Falcons President Bruce Landon Stepping Down, Taking New Role with TeamSPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — After nearly 20 years, Bruce Landon announced he is stepping down as President and part-owner of the Springfield Falcons Tuesday night.
Landon will take on a new role with the team as Director of Hockey Operations.
At the MassMutual Center, the 64-year-old cited his age as part of this decision.
“It’s good for me personally. It’s good for the franchise. I think it was time for a lot of different reasons that I tried to allude to here at the press conference,” said Landon. “It was time for me to sort of step back and realize that I’ve had my run. It’s been a long run and I enjoyed every moment of it.”
That announcement came ahead of Tuesday night’s Falcons home game against the Albany Devils.
