Weather-Related Parking Bans

(WGGB) — Ahead of this week’s wintry storm, cities and towns are issuing parking bans, so that the streets can be cleaned adequately.

Several inches of snow are expected Wednesday, some of which could impact the morning commute.

Below is the most current up-to-date list of those bans:

EASTHAMPTON: Parking ban in effect from 11:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Saturday.

GRANBY: Parking ban until further notice.

HAMPDEN: Residents are reminded that the annual winter parking ban is in effect from November 1 to April 1.

LONGMEADOW: A parking ban will be in effect until 12 hours after the time the precipitation ends on Wendesday. There will be no parking on any streets, except for fire, police, public works, and other public safety and utility vehicles.
>> Note: Trash collection will also be delayed one day. Wednesday will be picked up Thursday, Thursday on Friday, and Friday on Saturday.

PALMER: Town officials want to remind residents that no parking is allowed between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. on any street, except for those in Category 2 of the winter parking regulations.

ABC40 will update you throughout the day on any new parking bans. As always, you can check the up-to-the-minute forecast by visiting our Weather page.
