Falcons Shutout Devils, Snap Winless Streak

falcons20thSpringfield, MA (WGGB)—The Springfield Falcons dominated the Albany Devils Tuesday night at the MassMutual Center for a 4-0 win.  The victory snapped a season-long five-game winless streak for Springfield as they looked to get back on track.

Goalie Mike McKenna made 25 saves, good enough for his third shutout and 11th win of the season.  Alex Aleardi, Spencer Machacek, Frederic St. Denis and Jonathan Marchessault all found the back of the net for the Falcons.

Springfield increased their Northeast Division lead to eight point over second place Albany.

The Falcons are back on the ice Friday night at the MassMutual Center as they take on the Syracuse Crunch.
