I didn’t know Darwin was a plow driver.

The kids on the atv were plowing their driveway , came to the end of it and turned around and the plow truck hit them. They were not driving in the road. They were plowing the driveway

Farmerprincess: if they got hit on private property the plow operator cannot be arrested, it’s a civil not criminal issue. But maybe when injuries are involved he can still be arrested? Therefore it’s likely the kids were in the road where they should not have been. Turning around or not they were sill on public property. The article state rte 112, not private property.

If you see an ATV coming at you, he is probably looking where he is going and sees you too. OTOH most plow drivers are watching their plows and the snow, not so much what’s ahead of them, and it’s far more likely a plow will not see you in time.
