MANCHESTER, NH (WGGB) — Paul Thompson’s first multi-goal game helped Springfield edge Manchester in a 4-3 shootout victory on Friday. Thompson has recorded five points in his seven games with the Falcons since being traded to Springfield

Entering the extra frame, Andrew Joudrey and Jonathan Marchessault converted on their shootout opportunities while the Monarchs could not find the net once against Mike McKenna. It was Joudrey’s third shooutout game-winner this season.

Springfield returns to the MassMutual Center Saturday looking to avenge their 5-2 loss on February 14 against Hartford. Game gets underway at 7.
