Box Office: Pompeii, 3 Days to Kill No Match for LEGO Movie

The LEGO Movie continued to steamroll over the competition at the box office this weekend, easily taking the top spot for the third week in a row with $31.5 million.

New releases 3 Days to Kill and Pompeii came in at Nos. 2 and 3 with $12.3 million and a disappointing $10 million, respectively.

 RoboCop and The Monuments Men each fell a spot, dropping to fourth and fifth place with $9.4 million and $8.1 million, respectively.

At No. 6 was About Last Night, which took in $7.4 million — more than a 70 percent drop-off from its debut last week. It was followed by Ride Along in seventh place with $4.7 million.

The Disney juggernaut Frozen, which has been in theaters for 14 weeks and counting, continued to hold steady at No. 8 with $4.4 million.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Endless Love (No. 9, $4.3 million) and Winter’s Tale ($2.1 million).
