SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — After a beautiful Saturday which saw temperatures make it into the low 50′s, we have one more mild day to go before temperatures really start to tumble. Temperatures this morning are starting out in the upper 20s to around 30 so there could be some areas of black ice out there this morning, though not as widespread as we saw yesterday. Today we will see partly sunny skies, we clouds increasing as we move through the afternoon. Highs today will top out in the low to mid 40s.
A weak wave of energy passes along a front (now just to our south) late Sunday night and early Monday morning and may have just enough moisture to trigger a few flurries or snow showers for the Monday morning drive. This best chance of seeing any precipitation are areas across the southern Pioneer Valley.
Colder air will begin to work into the region behind the cold front as highs on Monday and Tuesday only make it into the upper 20′s and lower 30′s. Our next chance at an accumulating snow will come on Wednesday. It’s waaaaay to early to talk amounts or if we’ll even see snow but as we get closer we’ll know more so stay tuned!
Have a great day,
