East Street in Easthampton Reopens Following Crash

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WGGB) — East Street in Easthampton is reopen following a serious crash Monday morning.

Easthampton Police Capt. Robert Alberti says that 53-year-old Chang Hwang of East Street was driving a car when it crashed around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Hwang was taken to Baystate Medical Center, then was flown by medical helicopter to Hartford Hospital.

Alberti describes Hwang’s injuries as life-threatening. There is no current word on his condition.

East Street was closed until early Monday afternoon.

The crash remains under investigation.
