GRANBY, Mass. (WGGB) — Jesse Molin logged 35 points and six three pointers to lead Granby past Smith Vocational, 97-40, surpassing the 1,000-point mark for his high school career.

Molin reached the milestone in the closing minute of the second quarter connecting from distance for three of his 30 points in the first half. The junior guard’s torrid season has seen his scoring average jump to 22.4 points per game from 16.1 points per game in 2012-13.

Teammate Corey Baker also reached the mark last season for the Rams. He poured in 24 points to go along with eight rebounds and four steals.

The Rams advance to meet Hopkins Academy in the Division IV semifinals, following the Golden Hawks’ 81-55 victory over McCann Tech Tuesday night.
