Black History Wax Museum

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WGGB) — The abc40 Honor Roll spotlights 5th grade students at Springfield’s Martin Luther King Jr. Charter School of Excellence. They’re bringing black history to life with a wax museum of sorts.

MLK SCHOOLFifth grade teacher April Robinson says it’s a change of pace from traditional classroom learning, adding, “Each student is a different character. They studied that person, they did a book report and now they’re acting as those individuals.”

This is the third year MLK students have worked on the black history wax museum.
