Falcons pad Northeast lead with win over Albany

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Jean-Francois Jacques scored the go-ahead goal in a four goal third period as Springfield rallied past Albany 6-4 on Friday at the MassMutual Center. Springfield scored four unanswered goals to rally from a 4-2 deficit entering the final frame.

Jacques’ second score at 12:14 of the third period gave him his fifth game-winning goal of the season. Patrick McNeil added a game-high three points for the Falcons.

The Falcons now hold a 10 point edge over Albany in the Northeast Division. They return to the ice eyeing their fourth straight win Saturday against Providence at the MassMutual Center. Puck drops at 7.
