Sam Adams Pulls Out of Boston St. Patrick’s Parade

samadams
BOSTON (AP) — The maker of Sam Adams beer says it is withdrawing its sponsorship of Boston’s St. Patrick’s Day parade over organizers’ continued exclusion of gay groups.

Boston Beer Co. said in a statement Friday that it is disappointed that an agreement couldn’t be reached between the gay rights advocacy group MassEquality and parade organizers that would have allowed a group of gay veterans to march.

The decision also came a day after a South End bar said it would no longer serve Sam Adams products because of the brewer’s affiliation with the parade, which is scheduled for Sunday.

Mayor Martin Walsh has been trying to broker a deal that would have allowed a gay group to march, but those negotiations broke down.

Parade organizers’ phone went unanswered.

Ill never drink Sam Adams again. Trying to politically influence a situation where they have no business. Its an Irish parade not a gay pride parade. Why should a sexually motivated group march for no other reason but who the choose to sleep with. This is very disturbing. Its not about sexuality its about Irish pride. Stop pushing your sexuality and try showing that youre more than who you sleep with!!!!

Seriously the gay groups are becoming more radical and its disturbing. No one else can have a celebration without them trying to take it over. To show nothing more than they’re gay. Very sad society we live in that peoples sex preferences become a focal point to push their way into other people’s life. Gay or not. This politically correct bs is ridiculous!!

Good! I’ll never drink their crummy gay beer again.

Yeah but you’ll still be slurping that other stuff.

What is it about Sam Adams that makes them walk like they spend too much time on their hands and knees?

    • alpinequeen

Spoken like someone who knows a lot about that technique.

Gotta admit it…. These comments about Sam Adams are my thinking also. I don’t need to drink a Sam Adams again after the beer makers labeling themselves as a gay beer!!
