Becoming Partly Sunny, Windy and Mild this Afternoon

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — We are waking up to clouds and a few light sprinkles or showers this morning. The good news is the showers do not last long and in fact we will see a bit of sunshine this afternoon. It will also turn windy and mild this afternoon as a warm front lifts through the region. Winds will be out of the south-southwest between 10-20 mph with some gusts as high as 30 mph. Highs today will top out in the upper 40s to around 50.

A cold front will slide through this evening and that will cause winds to shift to the northwest and it will also bring in some colder air. Under mostly clear skies tonight temperatures will fall back into the mid teens. The breeze will continue tonight as well as winds run between 10-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine but it will continue to be windy and cold with highs only in the low to mid 20s.

The storm that we have been tracking for Monday looks like it will remain well to our south so Monday is looking dry and continued cold with high temperatures in the mid 20s. By the way, Spring officially begins at 12:57 pm on Thursday, March 20th.

Have a great evening!
