East Longmeadow Residents Warned About Coyote Sightings

2009-Coyote-YosemiteEAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB) – Several coyote sightings in East Longmeadow have residents concerned. A town hall meeting was held Tuesday night and residents learned what to do if they see the wild animal lurking in their yards.

“If they come into your yard, grab pots and pans, turn on the lights and yell in a loud manner. Raise your hands over your head and act intimidating,” said Thomas O’Conner, Animal Control Officer and Inspector in East Longmeadow.

Animal Control warned residents not to approach the coyotes or feed them. Home owners with small pets were urged to keep them inside and always keep an eye on them.
