Springfield’s Indian Motorcycle Opens up Shop in Westfield

indian motorcycleWESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Indian Motorcycle of Springfield celebrated its grand opening in Westfield Saturday.

The company has a deep history in Western Mass and they’ve had dealerships here since 1953, including one in West Springfield from 1999-2003. Even though the 2014 models were showcased, one particular bike drew inspiration from 1948.

“They’re all very interesting. You’ve got the vintage…what I’d like to mention is this bike right here…to make available to the soldier’s home, to Brightside charity and probably a Westfield charity. We’ll be selling raffles through the spring into the summer for this particular motorcycle,” said Dennis Boldut, Indian Motorcycle.

He said they’ve already seen a rush of people, with more than 250 people who came through the doors looking for a new ride.
