Walker, Hoffman to Feature in Films After Their Deaths

PAUL WALKERLOS ANGELES, Calif. (WGGB) — Late actor Paul Walker will be featured in the next installment of the “Fast and Furious” series of films, despite his recent death in December of 2013.

Walker had already begun filming for “Fast and Furious 7,” set to be released in April of 2015, but many thought that there was too little footage to actually keep Walker’s character in the film.

Now, there are several reports that they will use Walker in the movie, and fill other scenes using computer generated images.

It comes as late actor Philip Seymour-Hoffman will reportedly remain in the upcoming “Hunger Games” films. It has not been confirmed that CGI will be used to create posthumous performances, but the issue is likely to divide some viewers.

The technology has been used in movies like “The Social Network,” allowing Armie Hammer to play his own twin. It was also used to bring Aubrey Hepburn back tot he screen for a Dove Chocolate commercial.
