Chicopee Boys and Girls Club Hosts Art Show in Memory of Amanda Plasse
Their spring creative arts show was held at the club and was dedicated to the memory of Amanda Plasse, a local teenager who was murdered back in 2011.
The art show allowed members to display their talents in photography, art, poetry, and music, all of which were a big part of Amanda’s life. The most notable art at the show were the sun flowers.
“Amanda loved sun flowers, so we thought it was very important to have sun flowers in memory of Amanda’s because Amanda’s life theme was to keep her face to the sun and never let in any shadows,” said Amy Underwood, Project Manager at the Chicopee Boys and Girls Club.
Amanda’s mother, Michelle Mathieson, donates art supplied to the Boys and Girls Club in her daughter’s memory.
