Springfield Police Looking for Bank Robbery Suspect

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Springfield Police are looking for the public’s help in identifying a bank robber.

Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney says that just after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, police were called to the TD Bank at 1800 Boston Road for a report pf a robbery.

Employees reportedly told investigators that a suspect entered the bank, approached a clerk, and handed that person a note demanding money.

Delaney adds that no weapon was shown.

The suspect then fled and reportedly headed north on Stocker Street with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 30 and 40 years old, about 5′ 6″ tall, and has a stocky build. He was last seen wearing a tan coat, prescription glasses, a skull cap, jeans, and white sneakers.
