Armor stumble in fourth, fall to Mad Ants

Fort Wayne, TX (WGGB) — After losing a crucial fourth quarter lead Friday night, the Springfield Armor (20-27), lost 115-104, in a late rally effort to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (30-16) in Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

An early fourth quarter 19-6 run by the Mad Ants placed Fort Wayne to a 99-88 lead, with eight minutes left in the game. The Armor came close to beating that deficit many times, but were unable to cut the Mad Ants’ lead any closer than five points.

Armor’s Larry Anderson completed the night with a career high 29 points.

The Armor will finish their back-to-back in Fort Wayne Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
