ABC40 Honor Roll – School Program gets Kids Moving

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Teachers at Munger Hill Elementary school in Westfield recently started a before school physical activity program called BOKS. It stands for “Build Our Kids Success.”

It’s a national program that combines play, physical activity, team games and short talks on nutrition to create healthier habits for children to achieve life-long fitness.

They started the program in January.  72 children are enrolled. The program is run by volunteers, parents and teachers with help from older students. The program is also spreading to other schools in Westfield.
