PALMER, Mass. (WGGB) — Honor Roll Live is set to hit the road again.

This week, we head to the home of the Pioneers – Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School.

And we were surely in for a treat!

“What did you make?” asks ABC40’s Brittany Decker.

“A grilled beef dinner” Culinary student, John Cote responds.

Hundreds of students filled the gym before 5 AM Friday morning.

Through vocational shops, students combine academics with hands-on experience that they can apply to everyday life.

“Your junior year you become a certified nursing assistant, your senior year you become a home health aide,” says student,  Alex Morin.

“One of the most wonderful things is seeing your ideas come to life,” says robotics student, Todd Morehouse.

“I’m in auto body collision repair; I work on cars,” Amber Duby explains.

Principal, Mary Jane Rickson says she is proud of her students for coming out bright and early.

“It really means a lot for us for all of the work we put in here to be recognized,” adds student, Rory Cronin.

Next week ABC40 HONOR ROLL LIVE visits Hopkins Academy in Hadley.
