Fire at Abandoned Springfield Home Considered Suspicious
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Firefighters are on the scene of a blaze at a abandoned home in Springfield.
Crews were called out to 31 Crosby Street around 10:15 a.m. Friday.
Dennis Leger, aide to Springfield’s fire commissioner, says that it’s the second fire at this location in the last year.
Firefighters are now chasing and hosing down hotspots.
Leger adds that the department’s Arson and Bomb Squad is investigating, but it appears to be suspicious in nature.
No injuries were reported.
ABC40 has a crew on the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
