Syfy

Syfy has given a straight-to-series order to The Expanse, a space opera from Academy Award-nominated screenwriting duo Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men, Iron Man).

Based on the science fiction book series from James S. A. Corey, the pen name for collaborators Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, The Expanse is a 10-episode thriller set 200 years in the future. It follows a hardened detective and a rogue ship’s captain as they race across the solar system to expose what could be the greatest conspiracy in history. Both Abraham and Franck will serve as producers on the series.
