Mass Mayhem Mud Run Held to Raise Funds for Diabetes Research
BLANDFORD, Mass. (WGGB) — Pushing it to the limit at the Mass Mayhem Mud Run debut.
That’s what more than 800 people did at Blandford Ski Area earlier – scaling walls, cargo nets, and of course, crawling through mud and under babrbed wire.
This was all to raise money for diabetes research and eliminate Type I Diabetes, which affects about 3 million Americans.
“The ponds at the top had really, really cold water, those were the toughest. It was a lot of fun, it was a great cause, great fun to raise money for Diabetes and Type I Diabetes,” says Dan Cavanaugh of Florence.
Cavanaugh says he looks forward to participating again next year.
Hingham-based Type One organized the organized the event. Tweenty-five percent of their profits go to Mass. General’s Faustman Lab to help find a cure.
