Some Clouds This Afternoon but Weekend Looking Good!
In fact, look for a beautiful weekend with a nice stretch of weather including a warming trend that will take us right through the long holiday weekend!
The winds will kick in out of the southwest on Easter Sunday and Patriot’s Day Monday. This will help temperatures to warm up. Skies will be mainly sunny for both days too allowing for a fantastic conditions! A few clouds may mix in during the afternoon however on Monday however temperatures will be pushing 70!
Our next chance for any significant rainfall looks to be Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday – by then we will need some to keep the pollen and brush fire threat in check.
The Boston Marathon: It will be mostly sunny and pleasant for the runners and spectators. At the starting line in Hopkinton, temperatures between 9-11 AM will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s, however readings will climb into the 60’s along the route. For most of the race there will be a breeze out of the southwest creating a bit of a tail wind, blowing from right to left. However as the runners move into Boston there still may be a bit of sea breeze so for the last couple of miles there may be a light head wind. This breeze may knock temperatures at the finish line down into the upper 50’s. Overall, the weather will cooperate for the runners and the spectators. Just make sure you have the sunscreen and perhaps the light jacket!
Have a great weekend!
