Gas Prices Jump in Western Mass

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Gas prices in the Springfield area have jumped more than 7 cents over the past week.

GasBuddy.com reports the average price per gallon is $3.60. That’s up 12 cents in the past month, and is 18 cents higher than the same time last year.

The national average of $3.62 is at its highest point since last August, and GasBuddy analysts predict prices will continue to rise for another month.
