Falcons Defeat Providence Bruins 3-2 in OT

FalconsWEBPROVIDENCE, R.I. (WGGB) – The Springfield Falcons defeated the Providence Bruins in overtime Wednesday night. The final score was 3-2.

This was the first playoff team for the Falcons, who finished the season in first place in the Northeast Division with 47 wins and 23 losses.

Andrew Joudrey scored the game-winning goal 2:21 into overtime. It was his fourth goal and second overtime game-winner of his AHL postseason career.

The Falcons lead the series 1-0 in best of five.

Games 2 and 3 will be Friday and Saturday night at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
