Falcons edge Bruins to take 2-1 series lead

SPRINGFIELD, Mass (WGGB) — Jake Hanson’s assisted goal early in the third period broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the difference in the Falcons 3-2 victory over Providence Saturday at the MassMutual Center. Springfield takes a 2-1 series lead with the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs going back to Providence for a Game 4 on Monday.

Carter Camper added a power play goal while Dana Tyrell netted a score for the Falcons. Matt Lindblad recorded both scores for the Bruins.

Puck drops from Game 4 at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence at 7.
