Bruins hammer Falcons to force Game 5

PROVIDENCE, RI (WGGB) — Matt Fraser’s pair of goals, in addition to two power-play goals from Ryan Spooner and Alexander Khokhlachev, helped lead an offensive onslaught in Providence’s 6-3 route over Springfield in Game 4 in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. The series is tied at two.

All three Falcons’ goals came on the power play from Ryan Craig, Darryl Boyce and Tim Erixson.

Falcons goalie Mike McKenna recorded 23 saves on 28 shot attempts. Malcolm Subban recorded the win for the Bruins saving 31 of 34 shots.

The two teams will battle for the right to advance in a decisive Game 5 Saturday at the MassMutual Center. Puck drops at 7.
