Rainy, Cool & Raw to Close Out April

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) –

The clouds will (should) give way to at least a little bit of sunshine,  in the valley, this afternoon helping to warm temperatures well into the 60’s to perhaps near 70.   A warm front will punch through the area helping to clear out some of the clouds and shoot the temperatures up. This front will soon be followed  by a cold front later this afternoon and evening.

The cold front will help kick off a few showers or even a thunderstorm this afternoon and as we head into the evening however most of the afternoon will be dry, just keep the umbrella close by.

Friday and the weekend will be seasonable for the first weekend of May, with temperatures mainly in the 60’s.  Friday and Saturday there may be a spot afternoon shower but both days look mostly dry. With vigorous upper-level energy and a fairly potent cold front swing through Sunday, there is a better chance for a few showers or a stronger storm Sunday afternoon as it turns windy and cooler.  A storm or two may have some hail or high winds.
