Hadley Police Investigating Theft of $16K from Truck

HADLEY, Mass. (WGGB) — Hadley Police are investigating the theft of several thousand dollars from a delivery truck.

Hadley Police Officer Mark Ruddock says that around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, a delivery truck from Boston was making deliveries to local restaurants and pizza shops.

Ruddock adds that the driver reportedly left the truck unlocked while making a delivery to Primo’s on Russell Street (Route 9), and when the driver returned to the truck, a bag containing about $16,000 in cash was reported stolen.

Investigators say that police K-9′s responded, picked up a track, but it didn’t lead to anything further.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing
