New Palmer Police Station Unveiled

PALMER, Mass (WGGB) — The Palmer Town Council and Police Department unveiled the town’s brand new police headquarters with an open house.

Palmer police were there to give attendees a firsthand look at their new digs, which includes new equipment and technology.

This was a much needed improvement for the police department.

Chief Robert Frydryk says the upgrade now allows for dispatch to better concentrate on their jobs, and allows for a more secure lock up for those arrested.

“Everything is state of the art. We have a state of the art access control system, state of the art video control system, state of the art radio transmitting system computers were upgraded over and above what we have here,” Chief Frydryk stated.

Palmer police are grateful to the public for voting on this renovation in 2012, and are excited to get to work in their new building.
