ABC40 Honor Roll – Students Spread Message of Equality

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – Springfield Central High School has a brand new gender equality club. Both male and female students meet weekly to discuss issues facing women.

Students also began their own version of the “clothes-line project.” This is a National Campaign to raise awareness about domestic awareness about domestic violence and abuse.

The kids wrote excerpts from victim’s stories onto t-shirts, cut-outs and hung them around their school. Through these stories they hope to spread their message of equality.
