ABC40 Honor Roll Live: Minnechaug
The jazz band had just returned from a trip to New York City at one in the morning and got just a few hours of rest at the school before setting up. But after the very first beat of music, high spirits filled the gymnasium of the two year old school building and everyone showed off their dancing shoes.
Academic, athletic, and community oriented groups shared what goes on at school. Some organizations include: National Honor Society, Student Council, Eco Club, Best Buddies, and Sports teams, just to name a few. Students show dedication not just from this one day, but all year long.
“We’re called lumberjack because we’re hardworking,” says student respresentative, Sam from the Lumberjack Club.
“We made it to the Western Mass finals so we figured wed give back to the little girls who want to play,” says field hockey player, Casey.
The green Falcons from Wilbraham were in competition all morning, both on and off the air.
There were fun and games with ping pong relays, hula-hoppp contests, dizzy bat, and an oreo stunt.
The students are there for each other and appreciate faculty support too.
They gave a big, shout out “Thank you!” at the end of the broadcast.
