Steelers draft UMass TE Blanchflower
NEW YORK, NY (WGGB) — Former UMass tight end Rob Blanchflower has been drafter by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the seventh round with the 230th selection.
The 6’4, 260 pound Blanchflower was limited in his senior season playing in only six games due to a pair of sports hernias. He finished second on the team in receptions (27), receiving touchdowns (3) and receiving yards (313).
The Leominster native owns the school record for most receiving yards by a tight end.
