ABC40 Honor Roll – Hamdpen County Teachers Recognized


HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) – A group of local teachers were honored Thursday night. The teachers were recognized by The Harold Grinspoon Foundation at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.

The annual Pioneer Valley Excellence in Teaching Awards honors teachers from eastern Hampden County. Ray Hershel was the master of ceremonies.

Winners received an engraved plaque, a three month Y.M.C.A membership, a 500 dollar personal gift, and a 100 dollar scholarship towards a graduate course. Many of the prizes were donated by local colleges.
