ABC40 Honor Roll – Soldier Home Honors Student

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) –  Girl Scout Lyndsey Pisano, a junior at Holyoke Catholic and a senior girl scout with troop 40-144 in South Hadley was honored last week by The Soldiers Home in Holyoke for community service.

She developed a program to help veterans who suffer from Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.

She recently completed her Girl Scout Gold Award Project that involved the development of music playlist on ipods for veterans.

Lyndsey put in hundreds of volunteer hours a the home creating individual playlists for veterans and a music library for nursing and recreation staff members to use for current and future residents.

The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in girl scouting.
