GOLETA, Calif. (AP) — Students are heading back to classes at the University of California, Santa Barbara, in the aftermath of Friday’s rampage that left six students and their assailant dead in the neighboring community of Isla Vista.
Some of those returning Wednesday are eager to resume their academic routines while others are struggling with the tragedy.
Student Kelly Frances Dilnessa of Oroville, California, says it’s a relief to get back together with others and to see what the professors have to say.
Some students tired of the news media presence have yelled at reporters to go home, but most have politely declined to speak to the media as they rush to class.
