Lupa Zoo has a New Animal “Arty the Anteater”

Lupa AnteaterLUDLOW, Mass. (WGGB) – Meet Arty the anteater who is the newest addition to Lupa zoo this year.

Arty enjoys a variety of activities among which is climbing. Unlike some animals that are unfriendly and may not want to interact with guests, Arty is far from that.  He absolutely enjoys outdoors and being friendly around guests.

This particular anteater stands out from others because he has an ability to not only eat ants but also eat cat food, meal worms and surprisingly yogurt.

ABC40 spoke with Stan Lupa at the Zoo and he told us they, “Got him about 3 months ago from a man in Florida and Arty is my new favorite.  Arty is a miniature anteater and they come from South America.”

To meet Arty check him out at Lupa Zoo in Ludlow.   They are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
