Pizza Delivery Driver Robbed at Gunpoint in Springfield

DELIVERY ARMED ROBBERYSPRINGFIELD (WGGB) — Springfield Police are searching for at least two suspects who they say robbed a Dominos delivery driver early Thursday morning.

Police say the driver was making a pizza delivery to 77 Robert Dyer Circle at the time of the incident.

The driver got out of the car and was waved down by a man who police describe as a black male, aged 18 to 21. That’s when two men, armed with handguns, came up to the driver and pointed the weapons at him.

They stole the pizza, along with the driver’s wallet and cell phone.

Police described the first suspect as wearing a wind-breaker with a hood. They say one of the suspects armed with a handgun was wearing a white mask.

The suspects then got in an unidentified vehicle and drove away.

Police have not made any arrests, but say the driver was not injured.

Anyone with information on this crime should call Springfield Police at (413) 787-6325.
