ABC40 Honor Roll – Students Get Lesson on Their Heritage

LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WGGB) – Students at Heritage Academy learned about art and their heritage from a very talented artist. Louise Nevelson visited the students and shared her latest works and she helped the kids create their own.

Decades ago Nevelson imigrated to the U.S. from Russia and has since become a leading Jewish female artist. Students from Kindergarten to fifth grade created their own wood sculptures which are now on display at the school.
