HOLYOKE, Mass. (WGGB) — There’s a new and unique way to zip around Holyoke and the Valley.

Mayor Alex Morse announced the city’s partnership with ZipCar Thursday.

All you have to do is pay $25 and pay rates depending on which car you use and for how long.

You simply log online and sign up to use the car when it’s available and return it when you’re done.

“It’s a very simple solution from getting to point A to point B, when other methods, whether it be the bus or some of the other alternatives out here, aren’t available,” explains Craig Burns with ZipCar.

Holyoke will have two cars to begin the program, a Ford Focus hatchback and a Toyota Prius. They have a permanent location on Maple Street.

The cars will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
