Palmer Community Searches for Missing Ring

photo (2)PALMER, Mass. (WGGB) — The Palmer community  began their search for a missing engagement ring at the Palmer High School softball field at 11 am on Sunday.

The missing engagement ring belongs to the Ware couple, Holly Kusek and Dan Larzazs. ABC40 talked to the couple earlier this week about what happened.

They have spent days looking for the ring after is was lost at a charity softball tournament on Saturday, May 31st.

Kusek said it’s rare for her to take off the ring, but before the game, she did.

“At the beginning of the game, I put my engagement ring into the bag because it was my glove hand and I didn’t want to put my hand in and somehow lose it,” Kusek explains.

But unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. Fifty minutes later, she went to place it back on her finger, and it was gone.

There are signs posted at the Palmer High School softball field and around town describing the ring, in hopes that someone turns it in.

They are using social media to spread the word. The story has been shared over 4,000 times on Facebook.

In fact, ABC40 was informed of the story by a woman who lives in Florida and read the story on Facebook; she doesn’t know the couple at all.

Larzazs and Kusek invite anyone to join them in the final search.

There is a reward of $1,000 if the ring is returned. No questions will be asked.

For any information, you can contact Dan Larzazs at (413) 657-6908.
