Relic of St. Anthony to be on Exhibit at Local Church


Springfield, Mass. (WGGB)- A rare exhibit coming to St. Anthony’s church in Springfield is expected to draw a large crowd. The relic of St. Anthony will be traveling here from Italy.

St. Anthony is considered to be one of the most popular in the Catholic Church. For all who wish to come honor and pay their respects, the parish welcomes the public for viewing.

They say the visit of the relic will bring spirit of renewal and grace to the area.

“The relics of this saint will be brought in from the Basilica of Padua and and it will stay in one place for 9 days. This is the first time in a long time this has ever happened,”explains Deacon Enzo Digiacomo.

The exhibit will be at St Anthony Maronite Church in Springfield, September 6th -14th.
Services held throughout the duration of the nine days are open to the public.
