Police Looking for Possible Suspects in West Springfield Armored Truck Robbery

WSpfldPDWEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) – An armored truck employee was injured Tuesday morning at an ATM on Westfield Street.

West Springfield Police Captain Daniel Spaulding told ABC 40 the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. at the Bank of America ATM located next to the Sunoco gas station on Westfield Street. He said the employee of the armored truck was assaulted with a weapon and received minor, non-life-threatening injuries. That weapon is unknown at this time.

There was an undetermined amount of cash stolen from the employee. No cash was stolen from the armored truck.

West Springfield Police are working on a few suspect leads and are looking possibly two men, one on foot and on in a vehicle who may have been involved. Anyone who may have seen anything or have any information is urged to call the West Springfield Police at 263-3210.
