Sunny Skies Ring in First Weekend of Summer

Did you enjoy the first weekend of summer? I sure did. Sunny skies and warm weather were in full swing over the weekend and it only gets better heading into Monday. It kind of makes you wish you had a long weekend to take. Thankfully, there’s still plenty of daylight left after work to take advantage of temps in the low 80s and the continued dry/warm weather.

We will continue to feel the warmth for the rest of the week, but it’s the humidity that will make the warmth not quite as inviting. Our surface high pressure rolls off the coast by Tuesday, allowing for southerly flow. This will raise the dew points into the 60s by Wednesday & Thursday. Moreover a cold front will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms by midday Wednesday. Some storms may be strong, but at this time, they look to stay to our west. This is something we will keep our eye on.

We dry out on Thursday in the valleys but you may run into a brief shower or two in the Berkshires along the Pike. This weekend looks interesting as models haven’t quite decided what is in store. For now we will call it Partly to Mostly cloudy. It’s looking like on Sunday we will have the LEAST chance of seeing wet weather.

Have a great week everyone!
