State Police Examine Car that Hit Cruiser on I-91

CRUISER HITSPRINGFIELD (WGGB) — A minor accident brought State Police officers and supervisors to the scene on Interstate 91 north late Monday night.

The State Police Springfield barracks say that a sedan hit an officer’s cruiser near mile marker 10, which is between Exits 13 and 14 on I-91 north.

They did not report any serious injuries, but State Police supervisors came to the scene to examine both of the vehicles.

The accident happened shortly before 11:30 p.m., but cruisers were on the scene for nearly an hour.

State Police still have not said what led to the collision or whether any charges could be pending against the driver.
