Union Station Renovations on Track for 2016 Reopening

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — Officials give an update on the Union Station revitalization project.

Union Station is being reconstructed to have a 26 bay bus terminal for regional and intercity service, a four level parking garage, and a restoration of the inside of the building.

“This is a very important part of Springfield’s history and for the people of western Massachusetts as well. Developing a competitive transportation center will, I hope, move Springfield to the forefront of leads across western of leads across western Mass,” explains U.S. Rep. Richard Neal

The project is moving along as planned. Union Station is expected to open in July 2016.
