WESTFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A Westfield man is facing several drug charges after his arrest on Wednesday.

Westfield Police Capt. Michael McCabe says that on Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant on a Gold Street home.

Once inside, investigators seized over $17,000 in cash, some pills, including Suboxone and Clonazepam, and a freezer bag full of marijuana, according to McCabe.

Packaging material was also reportedly found during the search.

A resident at the home, 19-year-old Antonio Bottone, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class D substance (marijuana) with intent to distribute, cultivation of a Class D drug, possession of a Class B drug (Suboxone) and possession of a Class C drug (clonazapam).

No plea was entered during Bottone’s arraignment Thursday in Westfield District Court. He was released on his personal recognizance.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September 25.
